A strategic assault on this generation of children

The assault on the generation that is meant to be an apostolic generation.

Summary.
When we survey what is globally happening to the children and youth in our time, we must wonder whether a satanic spiritual battle against children is raging. Are not these children part of the last generations before the return of Jesus? As that generation is meant to be an apostolic generation, the enemy does everything in his power to prevent them to come into that destiny. The most aggressive influences are discussed. The response of the church, in the form of a prayer agenda, is submitted.

Introduction.
At all times there have been children for whom this fallen, sinful world was not a safe place. Children have suffered through famines, natural disasters, abuse, wars, wild animals, illnesses, child labour and the death of parents. We cannot be romantic about their lives.
However, at two spiritually significant moments in history there were strategic assaults on babies and young children.
When Pharaoh decreed that all boys that were born to the people of Israel had to be drowned, he had his political reasons for it. But Satan knew that through the birth of one of these, deliverance was coming as Gods answer to the cries of the people of Israel. That deliverance was going to be a prophetic symbol of the deliverance through Jesus Christ of all who are bound as slaves to sin: every person has to leave his/her Egypt (and therefore even Jesus had).
The second assault was on the children of Bethlehem, when Jesus had come into the world as the Saviour. Satan used a cruel king in his attempt to block that plan of deliverance and redemption for mankind.
Over the centuries many more children were killed, but these two mass-murders were spiritually strategic.
When we survey what is happening to the children and youth in our time, we get the impression that again a satanic spiritual battle is released against them, now on many fronts, and globally. These children are part of the last generations before the return of Jesus. As that generation is meant to be an apostolic generation the enemy does everything in his power to prevent them to come into that destiny.
I hope that my understanding will help the global end time church, the true Bride of Christ, to see this apocalyptic battle. And may we be on our knees for this suffering and dying generation.

§ 1. What is happening to the children?
The following three developments occur on a large, a global, scale.
Children without childhood. We see children that are street kids, abandoned, orphaned, lost; children that are beggars, abused as child-labourers, child prostitutes and child-soldiers, abducted and abused for their organs. Close to a billion foetuses and babies have over the last twenty-five years gone through the agony of being aborted or left to die.
Children confused and de-railed. Divorce of parents or alternative life styles leave children feeling deserted, insecure, unsafe. Children rebel and leave home, emotionally or factually. At an ever-younger age an increasing group of young people are living undisciplined lives, involved in criminality and violence, addicted to glue, drugs, alcohol and promiscuous and abusive sex. Many carry HIV and STD’s. The remnants of morality in the youth are eroded by the immoral and seductive popular TV-senders that are paid by powerful multinational “trend“setting, money-making corporations.
Children deceived. Many children and youth have become involved with the occult, through TV-programs (for children!), books, toys, movies, video’s, games. Also through schoolbooks and education they are lured into it. Not a few become anxious, fearful, even demon-possessed, violent, murderous or suicidal.

§ 2. How did this happen?
In the global society that we now live in especially the spheres of family, education, church (religion) and art have been attacked agressively, on purpose. Christian values have been eroded and replaced by eastern religious and pagan mindsets, creating societies in which everyone is his own authority.
This religious, philosophical and societal development was the result of the permeating through of the ideas of the Enlightment (as analyzed by Francis Schaeffer, and, by now, widely acknowledged) and effectively sparked to its utter consequences by the ideas of only a few persons. In the 20th century these persons have, more than (many) others, influenced masses of people, in what I see as a terrible destructive way. It is on those persons I want to focus in this article.
The first one to mention here is Helena Blavatsky, 1831-1891, who became the pioneer of the New Age movement. The interest in occult eastern mysticism grew and was practiced in the 19th century in Europe and the USA. “Timely” Blavatsky connected Buddhist philosophy with a Brahman, pantheistic explanation about the origin of the universe in her teachings on “ The Plan of the masters of wisdom”.
One of her followers was the occultist and mystic, Alisteir Crowley, 1875-1947, who called himself “The beast”, identified himself with the number 666, and wanted to be the best servant of Satan. He also wanted to offer a whole generation to Satan. A guiding spirit dictated to him the content of “The book of the law”. The law was “Do what thou willt”. Many demonically inspired musicians in the pop and rock scene shouted this out in their concerts as their message, over the heads and hearts of tens of thousands of young people. The Rolling Stones, the Beatles, musicians like Jimmy Hendrix, called Crowley their master and stirred their audiences to scream “ I am my own authority”, and “’Do what you want”. When the crowds, high on drugs, were hysterically crying out these slogans, this creed would bypass the mind and sink right into their spirit, and transform their personality. They, if unrepentant, became a Babylonian generation that was autonomous in their attitude regarding good and evil, and rebellious towards those in authority. Of course they became resistant to the gospel. Their marriages/relationships failed, and passed on the rebellion to their children. Spiritual erosion in society followed.
Another follower of Blavatsky was Alice Bailey, 1880-1949. She is seen as the very influential founder of the New Age movement. Blavatsky and Bailey both received their teachings in trance from guiding spirits. Their books are still basic in that movement. Alice Bailey founded the Lucifer Trust (quite revealing), renamed later in Lucis Trust, with an apex status at the UN. She also founded the Arcane Schools, correspondence courses meant to be an occult university, in which many thousands took part, all over the world. Arcane means secret, dark. The students were challenged to join the ’New Group of World Servers”, in order to implement the "Plan", towards a New World Religion, according to the “Hierarchy of Ascended Masters”, and revealed by the guiding spirit, who called himself The Tibetan. The new world religion centres on the worship of and service to Mother Earth. The mentioned Hierarchy was said to consist of the spirits of deceased influential and spiritual leaders from the past, who will lead humanity to their next step in the process of all becoming God, or “the Christ”, in that New Age. The teachings of The Tibetan (Satan himself?) are filled with deceptively distorted Scriptures (1 Tim.4:1). They aimed at dethroning Jesus Christ and at “liberating” humanity from the constraints of Christianity. (This is, I know, a too short summary of that teaching).
Among the “world servers” are leaders in all areas and spheres of society, including universities, churches and seminaries. They have eroded Christian and moral standards, in the western world, but through globalization now also globally. A considerable group of leaders in the United Nations are dedicated to the new age teachings, be it in adapted ways. The impact of these influential people has been and still is enormous. In their teachings, Bailey and the Tibetan aim strongly at especially young children, as they are meant to change society and later the world. The focus is on, self-realisation, which is in fact idolatrous. Blockages to self-realisation have to be removed, to begin with the authority of the parents and the church, and their influence. The highest joy is to be experienced in free sex. The schools, media and art are used to promote it and the church is pressured to endorse it. This has entered and changed the way of thinking, even of those who never thought about these kinds of teachings. The New Age movement has become so widespread, with so many (dark, occult) streams and so many voices, so well networked, that we can typify it as the end-time “anti-bride”, fighting the true Bride of Christ, at all costs.
The New Age movement also has prepared broad layers in the western world for the teachings of the Dalai Lama, of Hinduism and of other “indigenous religions”. It has also promoted the interfaith movement that assumes that all religions lead to God.
A fourth person to be mentioned is Margaret Sanger (1883-1886), founder of the eugenetic Birth Control League, renamed in Planned Parenthood. She promoted promiscuity -totally free sex for all ages-, abortion on demand, socialism, and freedom from Christianity. In her vision ‘’superior” people should reproduce; ‘’inferior’’ people (Jews, black peoples, the poor and the intellectually disabled) should become extinct. This vision is still alive in the (International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), established in 1952, the largest abortion provider in the world, also with an apex status at the UN.
Note at this stage: These are only four persons, but interconnected, and two of them reaching with their ideas into the UN-legislation, subtly but surely applied by liberal lawyers and judges internationally.

§ 3. Why does this happen?
In Revelation 4-11 Jesus shows the apostle John “what will happen after this”. Then, in Rev. 12:1-5, John sees a great sign in heaven: a woman crying out in labour to give birth.
The woman is not Israel; she is not Mary, as it is Jesus himself who gives the vision to John; the woman is the Bride of Christ. A great, fiery dragon is standing before the woman, wanting to devour the child. The woman gives birth to a male child “who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron” . Jesus spoke to Thyatira, Rev. 2:18-29, that “he who overcomes and keeps My works until the end” , “to him I will give power over the nations, He shall rule them with a rod of iron….”. Thyatira had the characteristics that we see in the global culture of our days. Jesus’ promise is for those who persevere to the end. That is (at least also) for an end time generation, living in an immoral, idolatrous world with an apostate church.
The child, ‘’something male’’ is not Jesus, for He gives the vision. The ‘’male child” stands for a generation that will be filled and led by the Holy Spirit and abandoned to the Father and Jesus. It will be caught up to God, to His throne and rule “from the throne room”, that means: spiritually and holy, in close relationship with the Father and the Son. “Something male“ means: with spiritual apostolic authority; this generation will teach, lead, prophesy, set the captives free, heal the sick and raise up the dead, on individual but also on corporate scale: it will even rule the nations. Then war in heaven breaks out, the war that precedes the return of Jesus, now as the King of kings. In Micah 4 we read about his reign, from Zion. But Micah 5 tells us that the One who will be ruler in Israel waits “’until the time that she who is in labour has given birth”. This is the O.T. parallel to Rev. 12:2. Who is the woman, crying in labour to give birth? She, as the Bride, only can be the church who prophetically, in travailing prayer, gives birth to that apostolic generation.
Satan knows this. It is no wonder that he tries to prevent this generation to be born. If the children are not aborted (50.000.000 a year!) than he tries to destroy them in all kind of manners, as public and as cruel as in Egypt and in Bethlehem. This has two sides. In the “Christian” nations the mindset, also of many Christians, has changed; the Judeo-Christian value-system has been robbed and is lost; through the new “Babylonian” culture more and more children are unprotected and led astray. In nations that were not really touched by the gospel that same global Babylonian lifestyle is becoming a strong barrier for the youth to even become open for the gospel.

§ 4. Assignment to the end time global church: through prophetic prayer to give birth to an apostolic generation.
- Gods people need to recognize our own “contribution” to this all: division, luke-warmness, introspection, a worldly life style seeking self-realisation and gratification. We need to repent and to humble ourselves, asking forgiveness. This means that we need to have our mindset renewed, and start to live accordingly. Lev. 26:40-42; 2Chron. 7:14; Mal. 4:5,6; Luke 1:17.
- We need to be inspired by a bible based and end time inspired big picture of the coming Kingdom, and the desire to commit ourselves to that.

Therefore we must pray.
- The woman who is in agony, Rev.12, is the Bride who prophetically, in travailing prayer, gives birth to that apostolic generation. That is an assignment to persevere in prayer so that the generation, that is called to be an apostolic generation, will be born. This war in heaven has to be fought by us, on our knees!
We must pray
- for the parents, the educators and for the ministries that reach out to rescue the unborn and born, and to all those children mentioned in §1. That they will come to know Jesus Christ, be saved and come into their destiny.
- for the youth that already is part of that generation, often very radical.
- for anointing and blessing on all those who are rebuilding the walls that were broken down, and for those who, in Christ, stand in the gap of Gods wrath, Ezekiel 22:30.
Give praise for a generation that will rule the nations with Christ, restoring nations for Christ, even in the midst of persecution!
